From Glasgow: Glenfinnan Viaduct, Glencoe & Fort William
Take in the stunning Highland locations made famous by the Harry Potter and James Bond film series
Leaving Glasgow, we head northwest towards our first stop in the village of Luss. Situated on the western shore of Loch Lomond, known for its charming cottages and stunning views of the loch, Luss offers a tranquil setting for a leisurely stroll along the shore and through the village.
Continuing our travels through Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park we travel onwards to Glencoe. As you make your way through the glen, Your Driver / Guide will be keen to point out the scenic spots used in films such as James Bonds' Skyfall, and as the backdrop to some scenes from Harry Potter franchise. We quickly stop in Glencoe for a photo opportunity where you'll stand in awe of the dramatic ridges named the Three Sisters.
Travelling north along the banks of Loch Linnhe, we head through the natural beauty of the Great Glen as we pass Britain’s highest mountain, Ben Nevis, and onwards to the Glenfinnan viaduct.
The Glenfinnan Viaduct, our main attraction, made famous from its scenes in the Harry Potter movies from the filming of the Hogwarts Express. From the visitors centre you will be able to take a short walk to the viewpoint in time for the awesome sight of the Jacobite Steam Train crossing the viaduct*. You can spend the remainder of your time taking in the breath-taking views down the glen across Loch Shiel (Black Lake) which was also used in various Harry Potter scenes as well as the loch on which Hogwarts sits.
Leaving Glenfinnan, our tour will begin its journey south. The road home will be time to relax and take in the Highland scenery with a final pit stop on route home in the Highland town of Tyndrum.
*Please note that the Jacobite Steam Train is operated by separate company and although our tour is scheduled around seeing this we cannot guarantee train will run on the day of your tour. This service is seasonal and dates have yet to be confirmed for 2026.
